Background:
I was born Egyptian and lived in Egypt for the first 24 years of my life. In 2008, I was selected by the Fulbright Commission to participate in the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program, and consequently I moved to Middle Tennessee State University where I taught Arabic to non-Arabic native speakers for two semesters. Before I left Egypt, I had worked as a full-time translator and proofreader for several translation and localization agencies. Now, I am back to Egypt with the experience I got from living and working in the United States as an Arabic instructor and freelance translator.
Through work as a full-time translator and a freelance translator, I took part in several localization and translation projects. I did projects for renowned clients such as the UN, UNDP, PayPal, Limousine, Microsoft, Nokia, Samsung, HP, Dell, Oracle, Lexmark, and others.
I am a graduate of the Department of English-Arabic Translation, Al-Azhar University, Egypt. I have also conducted post-graduate studies in Professional Writing and English Linguistics at Middle Tennessee State University. Being a graduate of Al-Azhar University, which is one of the oldest universities in the world and most known for its intensive Arabic courses, coupled with the studies I conducted at Middle Tennessee State University enables me to produce an excellent translated text in both languages.
